Ian Mahar
Ian is a postdoctoral researcher at Boston University, studying neuropsychiatric features of chronic traumatic encephalopathy and other neurodegenerative conditions. He did his PhD in Neuroscience at McGill University in Montreal, doing neuropsychiatry research in the McGill Group for Suicide Studies at the Douglas Mental Health University Institute. He also does science writing and outreach, and his primary interests for all three are how the brain regulates emotions, and what happens when this regulation goes awry.

Cindy Hovington
Cindy Hovington is the founder of Curious Neuron and host of the Curious Neuron podcast. This is a parenting resource focused on science-backed information. Curious Neuron has a multidisciplinary team of pediatric clinicians, researchers, and educators. Cindy holds a doctorate degree in neuroscience and post-doctoral training in education. She specializes in brain development and play-based learning. She is a mom of 3 and uses this motivation to sift through the scientific literature to see what she could apply with her own kids.
